7v7 LEAGUE OVERVIEW

7V7 LEAGUE DESCRIPTION

LEAGUE SETUP OPTION: 7v7 (2A / 2M / 2D / 1G)

  • Hybrid World Games 7v7 format with a League Championship

  • Teams of players from common schools/regions

  • Consistent schedule, turf location, and communication

  • Coaches with Travel Team, High School, NCAA Division 1,2, & 3  experience

  • A and AA Divisions (determined after registration deadline)

  • K-2nd Grade will typically play no more than 4v4 while older divisions play 7v7. The goal in any format is to have a 4v4 in the offensive zone.

TEAM SETUP

  • Players are grouped into teams by Grade, School/Region, and Experience Level by the 919 Lacrosse Association Coaching Staff 

  • Teams are assigned a 919 Lacrosse Association head coach and potentially additional assistant coaches

AGE GROUPS

  • K-2ND GRADE LEAGUES:  this is an INSTRUCTIONAL & GAME PLAY league.  Each date players will experience skill training and a game.

  • 3RD-8TH GRADE LEAGUES:  this is a GAME PLAY only league for players with prior camp or league experience.  Players are placed in an AA or A Division when available.  Same day advanced instruction may be provided.

  • HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUES:  this is a competitive GAME PLAY league for experienced players only.

  • GOALIES:  Anyone that is interested in being a goalie -- because they have the experience or would like to learn -- should contact Directors@919LacrosseNC.com to make arrangements. 

EQUIPMENT

  • FULL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:  All age groups require helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, stick, mouth guard.

  • EQUIPMENT RENTAL:  Full/Partial Equipment Rental can be available during K-8th grade registration.  All rented equipment must be returned by the final day of the league.  Players must provide their own mouth guard.

  • 919 LACROSSE JERSEY: Required for participation and can be purchased during registration.

FOLLOWING THE ACTION

  • TEAM ASSIGNMENT:  Log into your Sports Engine Account and access your child's profile when notified league plays is ready. 

  • SCHEDULES/STANDINGS: Use Schedules/Standings menu navigation or follow your Team & Season on the Sports Engine App.

  • NOTIFICATIONS:  download the Sports Engine App (free), search for the 919 Lacrosse season, and 'Favorite' the team(s).  Scores, standings, photos, videos are all updated live and game/practice notifications can be received.
