3v3 LEAGUE OVERVIEW

3v3 LEAGUE DESCRIPTIONS

LEAGUE SETUP OPTION IF:   919 LAX IRON MAN 3's

  • Teams play a 3v3 game format, modified field, 2 4'x4' or 4'x6' goals.  (In instances where a softer practice ball is used, it will be noted during the registration process.)

  • Teams are composed of 6 players.  (read Team Setup)

  • Players are required to wear full equipment.  (In instances where the equipment requirement differs, it will be noted during the registration process.) 

  • Teams will be mentored by 919 Lacrosse Association coaches with advanced playing experience.

  • 919 Lacrosse Leagues will conclude in a playoff/championship format.

LEAGUE SETUP OPTION IF:  3v3 CHUMASH CHALLENGE 

  • Teams play a dynamic 3v3 game format using a regulation lacrosse ball, modified field, 1'X6' goal placed centrally on the field inside of a crease with no goalie.  Each team scores on their side of the goal using 'take back' rules to gain possession.

  • Teams are composed of 6 players.

  • Players are required to wear full regulation lacrosse equipment.

  • Teams will be mentored by 919 Lacrosse Association coaches with advanced playing experience.

  • 919 Lacrosse Leagues will conclude in a playoff/championship format.

TEAM SETUP: WHEN TEAM BUILD IS NOT AN OPTION ON THE REGISTRATION

  • Players must register individually online and be placed on a team by the 919 Lacrosse Association Coaching Staff.  

TEAM SETUP: WHEN TEAM BUILD IS AN OPTION ON THE REGISTRATION

  • Players must register individually online either as a FREE AGENT or under a TEAM NAME designated by the team players.

  • Team rosters will have 6 players from the same age division.  Each player must register individually prior to the deadline - no exceptions.

  • Players from the same age division can build their own team of up to 6 players max / 5 players minimum

  • Teams that do not have at least 5 players may have Free Agents added by the 919 Lacrosse Association.

  • All FREE AGENTS who register by the Early Registration Deadline are guaranteed a roster spot.

AGE GROUPS & SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED:

  • K-2ND GRADE LEAGUES:  this is an INSTRUCTIONAL & GAME PLAY league.  Each date players will experience skill training and a game application.

  • 3RD-8TH GRADE LEAGUES:  this is a GAME PLAY only league for players with prior camp or league experience.  Players are placed in an AA or A Division when available.  Same day advanced instruction may be provided.

  • HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUES:  this is a skill-based GAME PLAY only league for players with prior competitive experience.

  • GOALIES:  When game play uses a soft lacrosse ball and 2 goals, players will rotate in as a goalie within game play as situation dictates.  When Chumash goals are used, no goalies are necessary. 

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT:  All age groups require full equipment unless otherwise noted.  In some game formats, it will be noted when less equipment is required.

  • EQUIPMENT RENTAL:  Full/Partial Equipment Rental is only available during K-8th grade registration when noted.  All rented equipment must be returned by the final day of the league.  Players must provide their own mouth guard.

  • 919 LACROSSE JERSEY: Required for participation in youth leagues and can be purchased during registration.

FOLLOWING THE ACTION

  • TEAM ASSIGNMENT:  Log into your Sports Engine Account and access your child's profile when notified league plays is ready. 

  • SCHEDULES/STANDINGS: Use Schedules/Standings menu navigation or follow your Team & Season on the Sports Engine App.

  • NOTIFICATIONS:  download the Sports Engine App (free), search for the 919 Lacrosse season, and 'Favorite' the team(s).  Scores, standings, photos, videos are all updated live and game/practice notifications can be received.
